Microsoft releases Azure Stack Hub hotfixes on a regular basis. Check the full update release notes to determine whether a hotfix must also be applied after the update.
Depending on the Microsoft build, if you are working in a connected-mode deployment, available hotfixes appear in the Update pane in the Administration Portal. If you are working in disconnected mode, you must manually download the hotfixes from the Microsoft website and then upload them using the Administration Portal.
In most cases, installing the hotfixes is a mandatory requirement before updating to a newer version of Azure Stack Hub.
