This section describes how to change the OpenManage Enterprise Credentials.
Prerequisite
Before running the procedure:
- Use Remote Desktop to connect to the MGMT virtual machine.
- Ensure that you have the new credentials for the account or accounts.
Updating local user credentials
Procedure
To update the OpenManage Enterprise local user credentials:
- In a web browser, log in to https://<OMEnt_IP>.
- Go to Application Settings > Users, as shown in the following figure:


- Select the user you want to modify, and then click Edit.
- In the Edit User window, enter the new password in Password and Confirm Password, as shown in the following figure:


- Click Finish.

If the iDRAC credentials have changed, you must update the discovery groups.
Procedure
To update the iDRAC discovery credentials:
- In a web browser, log in to https://<OMEnt_IP>.
- Go to Monitor > Discovery.
There should be two discovery groups, one for HLH and one for scale unit nodes, as shown in the following figure:


Note: To determine the HLH discovery group, select each group. From the details in the right pane, the number of Total Possible Devices shows as 1.
- For each discovery group:
- Select the discovery group, and then click Edit.
- In the Create Discovery Job window, under Services API Credentials > Password, enter the new iDRAC password.


- Click Finish.
- As the discovery job runs, verify the status, as shown in the following figure:

- After the job finishes, confirm that the status is either Completed or Completed with errors.
- Ensure that Devices Discovered displays the correct number of nodes.
Note: Completed with errors is an expected result, because the discovery group is configured to discover 16 nodes. If the scale unit size is only 4, then the error is because the job could not find the remaining nodes in the possible devices. This error can be safely ignored.
