In each server in the recommended VxBlock configuration for supporting mixed workloads, the LAN and SAN traffic is distributed as follows:

• For the two 20 Gb HA VIC ports, a total of 40 Gb bandwidth is reserved for shared-converged LAN and SAN traffic. The partitioned SAN ports are vHBA0 and vHBA1, and the partitioned LAN ports are vNIC0 and vNIC3.
• For the other two 20 Gb HA VIC ports, a total of 40 Gb bandwidth is reserved for shared-converged LAN and SAN traffic. The partitioned SAN ports are vHBA2 and vHBA3, and the partitioned LAN ports are vNIC1 and vNIC2.

In the mixed workload environment, OLAP and OLTP SAN traffic is segregated across vHBAs. OLTP traffic from both Oracle and SQL Server workloads passes through vHBA0 and vHBA1. OLAP traffic from both Oracle and SQL Server workloads passes through vHBA2 and vHBA3.
