The following is a summary of the networking requirements to connect AWS Outposts to a customer data center fabric:
AWS Outposts provides uplinks with speeds of 1 Gbps, 10 Gbps, 40 Gbps or 100 Gbps. Single and multimode fabrics are supported. A customer-owned IP address can be used to allocate an EC2 instance in AWS Outposts when allocated as an elastic IP address.

Each AWS Outposts has the following data path between the on-premises network, and its network.
An example of the required subnets for the service link and local gateway is shown in the table below and includes the recommended network mask value.
