After creating a thin clone from the snapshot, create a DEV database based on the snapshot by mounting the thin clone to DEV VM through the ESXi host.
To create a DEV database using the thin clone snapshot of DATA, LOG and TEMP:

Note: Manual recovery is not required for MySQL Database application to bring the database back up. Database recovery depends on the size of the IB log file. The larger the size of the file, the longer the recovery time.
