For the DEV Oracle RAC database, we created six volumes for the corresponding volume groups:

Note: The table does not include the DATA, FRA, and REDO volumes of the DEV databases that are based on the snapshot of the corresponding volumes of the PROD database (see Creating a snapshot of the PROD database ).

Like the volumes for the PROD database, the DEV database volumes are assigned to ORA_DEV_HOST_Group to map them to two DEV database servers. As shown in the following figure, the host group consists of two DEV database hosts, R640_92J-30 and R640-92-29, each of which has two initiators that are based on the HBAs that we installed on each of the DEV database hosts:
