In this solution, we used MySQL InnoDB Cluster to validate the capability of the PowerStore T to automate complex database architecture typical of a software development and testing environment. InnoDB Cluster features shared-nothing architecture. The benefits of InnoDB Cluster include the ability to scale a workload across multiple servers which improves system performance. An additional benefit is the capability of a cluster configuration to continue database services in the event of several type of failure scenarios.
We designed our MySQL with PowerStore T storage validation tests to meet the following objectives:
We designed the storage system to show that the wide range of PowerStore T models helps control costs and reduce storage management complexity. For customers to cost-effectively manage data growth, the PowerStore T family must provide the consistent performance characteristics demanded by MySQL environments. Our testing demonstrates that dev/test environments using MySQL are easy to configure and can operate on all PowerStore T models.
