We created VMFS data stores using the storage volumes that are presented to the database server ESXi hosts. These datastores host VM operating systems and other database volumes, as shown in the following table:
Volume Name | Volume Size (GB) | Data Store Name |
Salt_VM_OS-001 | 300 | Salt_OS_VM_1 |
Salt_VM_OS-002 | 300 | Salt_OS_VM_2 |
Grid_VM1-(001-003) | 3x50 | Salt_VM1_Grid_(C1-C3) |
Grid_VM2-(001-003) | 3x50 | Salt_VM2_Grid_(C1-C3) |
DB1_Data-001 | 1200 | Salt_VM1_Data1 |
DB1_Redo-001 | 60 | Salt_VM1_Redo1 |
DB1_Fra-001 | 50 | Salt_VM1_FRA1 |
DB2_Data-001 | 1200 | Salt_VM2_Data1 |
DB2_Redo-001 | 60 | Salt_VM2_Redo1 |
DB2_Fra-001 | 50 | Salt_VM2_FRA1 |
Salt_Temp-001 | 500 | Salt_VM1_Temp |
Salt_Temp-002 | 500 | Salt_VM2_Temp |
