Looking at thermal performance, the T4 nodes temperature range was 45° C to 55° C, which is below the thermal throttling threshold (70° C) for the T4 GPUs. CPU temperatures were 45° C to 53° C. System power consumption was about 540 W, well below the rating of the power supply.
Server and CPU and memory utilization was comfortably below limits with committed memory at about 9% (minimum config) to 75% (maximum) with 8 VMs (12 GB memory each - 128 GB total available) and CPU utilization averaging about 22% with 16 camera streams
The NUMA node balance heavily favored more processing on node 0 over node 1. However, the total percent processing time never went above 7% during testing, so the balance did not seem to be an issue. NUMA node affinity was not set. Because the CPU utilization was so low, it is not clear that it would have made much of a difference. If the number of camera streams were to grow to a much larger number, then the NUMA node affinity could have been used to maximize the local memory usage per CPU node and minimize the UPI bridge traffic.
