Dell Plug-in for Oracle EM provides a UI for the Dell PowerFlex targets. This displays the details of PowerFlex gateway and shows the health, performance statistics, and database maps of the PowerFlex Storage Data Center (SDC) compute nodes which has Oracle databases on it and its associated Storage Data Server (SDS) nodes.
Note: For PowerFlex target custom UI to list the SDCs and other details, ensure that SDC node names in PowerFlex gateway should be non-null and match with host target names in Oracle EM. This is a pre-requisite. Only those SDCs which have Oracle databases registered with Oracle EM is displayed in the Dell PowerFlex target custom UI of Dell Plug-in for Oracle EM
The dashboard displays the PowerFlex cluster overview, any alerts associated to SDCs on which Oracle database exists. It also shows the overall performance of SDCs.
The SDC page displays the capacity, latency, and throughput metrices both at volume-level and SDC level. It also shows the databases available on the SDC and provides a quick redirection to the database details page of Oracle EM for each database.
The SDS page lists the SDS nodes which are associated to the SDCs with Oracle databases in it.
PowerFlex can be quickly launched in a console from the target UI. To do this add the PowerFlex console URL while adding the target. For example, launch the PowerFlex presentation server UI.
If the PowerFlex console URL was not configured while adding the target, it can be added later in the Oracle EM. Use the following steps to add the Oracle EM:
