The Dell Plug-in for Oracle EM follows the standard installation steps for an Oracle EM plug-in.
Enable filtering of acknowledged alerts for OpenManage Enterprise target
By default, the Dell OpenManage target for Oracle EM collects all alerts for devices. This includes alerts that have been acknowledged in OpenManage and alerts that have not been acknowledged.
There is a configuration option to disable the collection of these alerts if a user prefers not to see alerts that have been acknowledged.
Use the following steps to disable the collection of acknowledged alerts:
- Log in to an Oracle EM Cloud Control 13c web console with administrative privileges.

- Go to the Dell Plug-in home target (Targets → All Targets).

- In the left panel, expand Servers, Storage and Network which is present under Target Type Node and select the Dell OpenManage Enterprise target type Dell EMC Management Software.
- Select the target to update from list of targets on right side and Right-click the Target Name link and select Target Setup → Monitoring Configuration. In this view, the basic configuration options for the target can be modified.
- Change the value for View Acknowledged Alerts (yes/no) to no.
- Click OK.

Configuring Target Collection Intervals
Oracle EM enables you to set the intervals at which the plug-in collects data for specific metrics of target. As certain metrics need to be updated more or less frequently, the interval can be adjusted accordingly. This can be useful for fine-tuning plug-in performance to your preferences.
Note: The metric collection interval of some of the metrics may not be configurable.
Use the following steps to configure the plug-in collection intervals:
- Log in to an Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c web console with administrative privileges.
- Go to the OpenManage plug-in home target (Targets → All Targets).
- In the left panel, expand Servers, Storage and Network in Target Type Node and select any of the Target Type options.
- Select the target and Right-click on the Target Name Link and select
Monitoring → Metric and Collection Settings. The metrics can be adjusted when collection intervals are listed. - Click the link under the collection schedule column for the metric to be adjusted to begin the process of changing the intervals.
