PowerFlex network layer supports multiple topologies and multiple bandwidths. The network topology in the Oracle EBS architecture uses dual 25GbE top-of-rack switches and four 25GbE network ports per SDC (CO and File nodes), SDS, and the management controller nodes. Two of the four 25 GbE ports, are used for PowerFlex data traffic. The remaining two ports are used for network, such as public network between application tier nodes and database tier nodes, and the private interconnect network among the database tier nodes for Oracle Clusterware and Oracle RAC database. All PowerFlex nodes also use dedicated, redundant 1 GbE ports to connect to a dual out-of-band management switch for all management tasks.
