The rise of generative artificial intelligence (AI) has ushered in an era of innovation and development that has enabled productivity to soar. Generative AI models can automate processes, simplify searching, and create content on an unprecedented scale. On top of this, efforts with multi-modal AI are only enhancing the business use of AI even further by giving artificial intelligence more use cases. However, the deployment of AI models in a corporate setting has proved challenging.
AI models require large amounts of computational power, and the need for computational power has only been increasing as models get more complex. Additionally, deploying optimized AI models quickly and effectively on scalable infrastructure is a difficult task. Even with the right physical components, there are many software elements that need to be properly implemented for AI to function well. The technical knowledge and resources to successfully deploy an AI model and get it running are steep, so businesses are often forced to invest heavily in resources to ensure proper implementation.
Given the above challenges when implementing AI, Dell Technologies has introduced the Dell Enterprise Hub in collaboration with Hugging Face, an AI community platform that helps companies leverage AI in an accessible manner. The models available on Dell Enterprise Hub are select popular models that have a broad corporate use and have been curated and optimized to run on Dell server offerings. One distinct feature of Dell Enterprise Hub is the easy deployment to container-based application development. Docker and Kubernetes, both common container applications, have simple model deployment available in Dell Enterprise Hub. This saves businesses time when implementing the AI model to their enterprise.
This document provides extensive guidance to utilize Dell Enterprise Hub and its built-in Kubernetes support to achieve better scalability and efficiency for their AI models. In addition, this document provides further links and documentation for implementation results on several popular Dell server offerings. The initial focus of platform validation will include the multi-GPU capable Dell R760xa and Dell XE9680 servers, along with validated configurations of the NVIDIA H100 and NVIDIA L40S GPUs. By including software support and hardware testing, business leaders will be able to realize the benefits of combining Dell servers with Dell Enterprise Hub for their AI journey.
