Privacera provides a data access governance platform to enable secure data sharing across hybrid environments and cloud services. Privacera Access Management works with and extends Apache Ranger to provide data access governance with centralized management of authorization policies and auditing. The Unified Data Security Platform broadly consists of core functions such as access management, discovery, encryption, security, audit, and reporting.
Privacera Access Management offers features for policy management (resource and tag policies), data access audits, data user management, and data service management. It also includes reports that provide policy views, security zones that provide the means to scope views, and permissions that manage user and group rights augmentation. Privacera Discovery helps reveal information about your data and usage. Privacera Discovery crawls computing assets such as databases or files, which are called data sources. It scans the data sources to identify sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, Social Security Numbers, and other personal, restricted, or confidential information. Privacera Discovery classifies or labels this information to create a comprehensive catalog of your sensitive data. You can review these classifications to accept or reject them, or refine the scanning by using rules, dictionaries, models, and patterns.
Privacera Encryption enhances the data security provided by Privacera Access Management and Privacera Discovery. You can encrypt tables, columns, rows, fields, or other data in connected systems. Even if the data is accessible by policies created in Privacera Access Management, the encrypted data cannot be seen. Encryption can be two-way: you can encrypt the data in place and decrypt it later. Or it can be one-way: with hashing or overwriting with string literals. You can replace the original data to make it invisible and unrecoverable.
Privacera offers a robust solution with its integrated system that automates compliance workflows across multiple cloud services. Reports is a centralized hub for managing and reviewing all defined policies, offering a comprehensive and detailed summary view that allows users to easily grasp the status and details of their policies at a glance. To enhance functionality, the Report includes an optional export feature, enabling users to download the displayed results in various formats for further analysis, record-keeping, or sharing with stakeholders.
