ArcGIS CityEngine (subsequently referred to as “CityEngine”) is a 3D design solution for creating and iterating on urban environments and scenarios, using either synthetic or real-world GIS data. An essential tool for urban designers, planners, and 3D artists, CityEngine powers rapid adjustments to the architectural style or other features of an urban environment to enable more streamlined workflows.
CityEngine can be used alone or connected to the ArcGIS platform for enhanced collaboration across the organization.
The combination of CityEngine and ArcGIS Urban can be used to assist with planning and design requirements. This suite of products allows you to orchestrate the development of construction projects and intuitively create and maintain detailed 3D city scenes.
ArcGIS Urban supports a data-driven approach to simplify zoning processes, build out multiple development scenarios, facilitate communication between stakeholders, and provide a hub for citizen engagement. ArcGIS Urban can visualize zoning codes, track project life cycles, and measure the impact of projects after completion.
Urban environments generated in CityEngine can be consumed within ArcGIS Urban or they can be connected to a variety of industry-leading tools for creating and sharing compelling urban designs and immersive experiences across a range of devices, or on the web. CityEngine offers a wide range of integration and external connectivity options including interoperability with the NVIDIA Omniverse platform.
