This solution includes the following components:
NFS is time‑tested software that comes standard with most Linux distributions, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). NFS is easy to set up and can be supported by a Linux systems administrator, reducing costs for additional staff or support.
NFS provides a robust storage file system for primary storage in small to medium HPC clusters where simplicity, reliability and cost are the primary design factors. It can also be used for larger clusters with lower I/O needs. In systems with higher I/O requirements, NFS can be used as a secondary storage repository for home directories, application storage, and longer‑term data storage.
The PowerEdge R750 is a 2U 2S rack server with the latest Intel Xeon Scalable processors and up to 32 DDR4 DIMMs @ 3200 MT/s speeds. In addition, the PowerEdge R750 supports PCIe Gen 4 and up to 24 NVMe drives with improved air-cooling features and optional Direct Liquid Cooling. This makes the PowerEdge R750 an ideal server for data center standardization.
The Dell EMC PowerSwitch S3048-ON 1000BASE-T top-of-rack (ToR) switch is the industry’s first 1GbE enterprise switching platform to deliver both an industry hardened OS and support for open networking, providing freedom to run third-party operating systems.
InfiniBand interconnect brings high-speed, extremely low-latency scalable solutions incorporating In-Network Computing technology that performs data algorithms on the network, enabling the era of “data-centric” data centers. The InfiniBand technology enables supercomputer, AI, and cloud data centers to operate at any scale, while reducing operational costs and infrastructure complexity.
The affordable, simple, and fast Dell EMC PowerVault ME4 Series SAN/DAS storage series is optimized to run a variety of mixed workload applications – physical and virtual. Whether you need to consolidate your block storage, support the demands of data intensive applications, take advantage of intelligent data management, or optimize your virtual environments, the ME4 Series has been designed to meet your growing business needs. The flexibility of the ME4 Series lets you decide the protocol, supports a wide range of mixed drive types, scales to 4PB raw, is highly aligned with Dell EMC PowerEdge Servers, and is delivered to you with all-inclusive software – everything you’ll need to store, manage, and protect your data.
