The Dell Validated Design for Government High Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics is a basis for workload-optimized, rack-level systems based on building block options for compute, networking, and storage, with software to provide flexibility in design architecture. Given the convergence of HPC, AI and data analytics workloads, unified architectures based on the combination of scalable rack units are presented to optimize performance on both compute-centric workloads, and data-centric workloads.
Baseline designs with benchmarked results serve as starting points for modifications to meet specific customer requirements. This particular Dell Validated Design focuses on the use case of AI inferencing workloads, where common practice when user demand grows is to start multiple isolated model instances. As a result, single-node performance is more relevant than multi-node.
