In this example, an Oracle RMAN duplicate command is used to perform a host-based copy of a production pluggable database (PDB). RMAN duplicate command can copy pluggable databases within the same CDB, or between CDBs. The SLOB database is copied from PDB slobpdb to PDB auxpdb within the same CDB.
By using the syntax DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT('DATA','AUX_DATA'); in the RMAN duplicate command, the slobpdb database files that were in +DATA ASM disk group are duplicated into the ASM disk group +AUX_DATA, which was empty before the operation.
