The default BIOS settings, with some minor adjustments, worked well and improved the LoginVSI baseline scores. The system behaved in a more predictable manner as it was scaled up with users and with the following changes:
- System Profile Settings > System Profile
Set to "Performance"
- Processor Settings > NUMA Nodes per Socket
Set to "4"
- Processor Settings > x2APIC Mode
Set to "Enabled"
Additional performance improvements might vary depending on the VDI application workload. For more information, see the VMware Network Tuning Guide for AMD EPYC 7003 Series Processors.
