Building off previously defined tested computer vision solutions, we were able to quickly achieve results on the new Dell APEX based infrastructure.
APEX Private Cloud provides an easy-to-use compute virtualization platform complete with strong NVIDIA GPUs. APEX Data Storage Services provides fast network storage capacity at scale for processing and storing the vast quantity of video data required by large CV deployments.
The Dell APEX configuration was set up as follows:
- vSAN storage configured
- 2 x A16 GPUs allocated to a single node (2 x A40 GPUs can also be used)
- The A16 GPUs were configured as passthrough because that is required by the Ipsotek VISuite.
- APEX Data Storage Services - File (PowerScale) capacity optimized tier storage option was configured and accessible from VMs on the APEX Private Cloud compute nodes
