If it’s chosen to use RDMA configuration with the NIC firmware handling DCBX, there are no changes required and the default ESXi and Broadcom NIC driver settings suffice. If it’s required to use Host DCBX with Broadcom NICs used for RDMA RoCE traffic, you may do that by changing parameters for bnxtnet driver using “esxcfg-module -s disable_dcb bool=1 enable_host_dcbd=1”. It’s required to reboot the host to reload the driver with the modified settings. Once the server nodes are rebooted, ensure to check vSAN skyline Health to see RDMA specific sensor health are reported green.
