The Dell Solutions for Microsoft Windows Server HCI scalable architectures support from two to 16 nodes in a cluster. The scalable architectures support fully converged and non-converged network topologies.
Dell Solutions for Microsoft Windows Server HCI consists of two top-of-rack network switches that implement SET and connect the nodes to two separate network switches for high availability.
Configure data center bridging (DCB) in both fully converged and non-converged topologies. DCB provides enhancements to the Ethernet protocol, which improves the functionality of data center networks. To take advantage of the Mellanox RoCE network adapters, Priority Flow Control (PFC) and Enhanced Transmission Selection (ETS) are required. PFC and ETS must be configured on all nodes and all network switches interconnecting the nodes.
