A Dell Validated Design (DVD) is a strategic approach that streamlines the process of designing, testing, and integrating components for specific use cases. It is built on these key tenets:
The purpose of a DVD is to provide reliable, efficient, and flexible solutions that are designed to reduce the time, effort, and risk required to implement infrastructures and use cases.
This guide explains the concept of digital assistants, also known as AI avatars, virtual humans, and digital humans, as well as many of the use cases. It describes the architecture and design of the Dell Validated Design for Generative AI Digital Assistants.
Note: This guide uses the term digital assistant, whereas UneeQ uses the term “digital human.” The terms are interchangeable; however, digital human is used when referring specifically to the UneeQ platform.
Because this solution for digital assistants is accompanied by a Dell professional service engagement, we present only a portion of the full design and configuration information, as well as the validation and performance data. All information is available as part of an implementation.
This design guide can be read with the Generative AI in the Enterprise white paper. The white paper provides an overview of generative AI, including its underlying principles, benefits, architectures, and techniques; the various types of generative AI models and how they are used in real-world applications; the challenges and limitations of generative AI; and descriptions of the various Dell and NVIDIA hardware and software components to be used in the series of validated designs to be released.
