A Dell Validated Design (DVD) is a strategic approach that streamlines the process of designing, testing, and integrating components for specific use cases. It is built on these key tenets:

1. Reliability—DVDs provide proven and documented solutions through design guides and white papers, which help to reduce risk and improve operational efficiency.
2. Efficiency—DVDs are fully integrated and have been pretested and validated by Dell Technologies experts and their partners so that customers spend less time planning, deploying, and testing.
3. Flexibility—DVDs offer a choice of consumption models, including as-a-service through Dell Technologies APEX solutions and implementations led by Dell Professional Services, which provides better alignment with application, IT, and business strategies.

The purpose of a DVD is to provide reliable, efficient, and flexible solutions that are designed to reduce the time, effort, and risk required to implement infrastructures and use cases.

This guide explains the concept of digital assistants, also known as AI avatars, virtual humans, and digital humans, as well as many of the use cases. It describes the architecture and design of the Dell Validated Design for Generative AI Digital Assistants.

Note: This guide uses the term digital assistant, whereas UneeQ uses the term “digital human.” The terms are interchangeable; however, digital human is used when referring specifically to the UneeQ platform.

Because this solution for digital assistants is accompanied by a Dell professional service engagement, we present only a portion of the full design and configuration information, as well as the validation and performance data. All information is available as part of an implementation.

This design guide can be read with the Generative AI in the Enterprise white paper.
