Lab validationThe previous chapter outlined the APEX Cloud Platform for Azure with PowerFlex requirements at a high level. This chapter shares the precise details of this configuration as built in the Dell labs. Azure Stack HCI cluster node networkingDell Engineering created the following Network ATC intents on each Azure Stack HCI cluster node as shown in the following figure: PowerFlex cluster node networkingNIC high availability was set up in the SLES operating system on the PowerFlex nodes by creating a bond across the respective ports on each network adapter. A routable VLAN interface was created on Bond 0 for PowerFlex management, and a non-routable interface was also created on Bond 0 for the PowerFlex traffic on the SDS-1 VLAN. Bond 1 was configured to carry storage traffic exclusively over the SDS-2 non-routable VLAN. The following diagram illustrates this configuration: Physical networking For this DVD, Dell Engineering validated the Dell PowerSwitch S5248F-ON running SmartFabric operating system 10 for the ToR switches and Dell PowerSwitch S5232F-ON for the aggregation switches. Node configurations The following table contains the software and hardware components and versions that were used for the MC nodes in the Dell labs for testing and validation in support of this DVD: Management software The following table provides the management tools that were used in the lab testing and validation along with their versions:
