Deployment Worksheet

  • Border Settings tab

    The Border Settings tab contains the border connectivity section, which includes selections for routing method, and border-switch fields.

    • Border Connectivity:
    • Routing Method—Select BGP Routing or Static Routing. We recommend selecting Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) routing.
    • Border Switch Count—We recommend that you enter 2 for redundancy purposes. In the BGP ASN fields, enter the ASN(s) of the border switch(es).

    To find the ASN, you can connect to the switch console to show BGP information. For example, for a Dell switch, you can enter show ip bgp. This command displays all the BGP information including the ASN.
