This section describes the details of the source host and the PostgreSQL database configuration and adding the source environment to Delphix.
This section details the process of installing and running the PostgreSQL service in the source environment.

Note: This solution is validated on RHEL 8.7 and database version 15.6. For more information about the test configuration, see Test configuration.
sudo dnf install -y https://download.postgresql.org/pub/repos/yum/reporpms/EL-8-x86_64/pgdg-redhat-repo-latest.noarch.rpm
sudo dnf -qy module disable postgresql
sudo dnf install -y postgresql15-server
mkdir /usr/local/pgsql/data -p
chown postgres /usr/local/pgsql/data
su - postgres
pg_ctl init -D /usr/local/pgsql/data
pg_ctl start -D /usr/local/pgsql/data
sudo mkdir /opt/delphix
sudo chown postgres /opt/delphix/
sudo chmod 770 /opt/delphix/
vi /usr/local/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf
listen_addresses='*';

vi /usr/local/pgsql/data/pg_hba.conf
host all all <ip-address_of_Delphix_engine>/32 trust
host all all <ip-address_of_staging_target>/32 trust
host replication all <ip-address_staging_target>/32 trust
su - postgres
pg_ctl restart -D /usr/local/pgsql/data
