- For an Automation Suite environment: You must have downloaded the Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite installation bundle.
The following prerequisites must be performed on a Vault Server environment:
- You must have a running Enterprise Vault Server that is running in an environment reachable from the Automation Suite cluster.
- The Enterprise Vault Server must be initialized and unsealed.
- The environment where the Vault Server is running should be time synced with the Automation Suite cluster environment.
- A Vault Server namespace must be created for each Automation Suite cluster to connect to.
- A Vault Policy must be created on the namespace to enable create, read, update, delete, and list capabilities on all paths on the namespace "*".
- A 12-hour token for the namespace with the policy should be created to use in the Automation Suite installation.
BMC credentials can be created through:
- On-boarding a server through the APIs.
- The Vault Administrator manually creates a secret with a specific name and content format, then on-boards the server with the secret name.
For more information about the naming format and the payload, see the Developer portal.
