When you trigger an installation using the Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite install bundle, the bootstrap container initiates the deployment of Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite cloud using the default blueprints included in the install bundle.
The install bundle that you get from Dell Digital Locker contains a Docker image with all container images and helm charts needed for the Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite cloud deployment. It includes default blueprints that are used to deploy the Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite cloud, required services, and Ansible playbooks.
The high-level steps to install Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite are:
- Download the install bundle from Dell Digital Locker.
- Log in to the VM where you are installing Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite as a user (for example, installer) with sudo privileges and extract the installer bundle.
- Change directory to installer bundle.
cd DTIAS-bundle-v2.0.1
- Edit dtias_config.yaml and add the VMs details where you are installing the Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite cloud. Note: If you are targeting migration on the cluster in which the Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite is deployed, you need some additional configurations in the dtias_config.yaml file. See Prerequisites for Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite deployment.
The following diagram shows the high-level installation of the complete Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite platform. You can add managed servers after Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite is deployed.
