You can manually add locations, sites, resource pools, and resources to Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite (Automation Suite). Automation Suite collects inventory details from these elements.
After installation, when you log in to the web user interface for the first time, a global controller (gc) location, a site, and a resource pool are available by default. You can add remote sites to this location, and resource pools to each site. A resource pool is a logical group of resources. An example for a resource is a compute resource.
There is a hierarchical structure for these elements. A location is linked to a site. A site can have resource pools that are linked to it. A resource pool contains resources.
You can add, edit, or delete locations, sites, resource pools, and resources from the following pages in the Inventory module:
- The Overview page
- The respective inventory element page, for example, the Location page
