Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite (Automation Suite) provides the infrastructure management and orchestration capabilities that disaggregated telecom networks require.
As telecom operators transform to an open, disaggregated cloud-native architecture, their networks are becoming increasingly complex and generating more data. Manual processes and legacy systems cannot scale to support the volume and velocity of changes due to this growing complexity. The road map of operators to manage modern network infrastructure includes the requirement to fully automate infrastructure deployment and configuration updates as well as enable the observability that is required to engage with and act on network functions.
The goal of Automation Suite is to simplify and automate the additional complexities within disaggregated network operations. Given the various multivendor combinations of hardware, and network apps (cloud-native network function), Automation Suite aims to provide a single entry or exit point management plane for infrastructure management and orchestration. This is not only for reducing the time leading up to day-0, but also to address day-1 to day-N updates to the infrastructure to make it operationally efficient.
Key functionalities include:
- A model-based orchestration capability for handling complex dependencies and long-running automation and failure scenarios gracefully.
- Support of extensible precheck and postcheck steps so that operators can automate their method of procedures (MOP).
