  • The test setup for this use case is as follows:

    From a Milestone recorder perspective, the storage target is perceived as the aggregate of both the Local vSAN volume and the extended remote PowerScale volume.

    Storage Configuration Options. 

    - i.e. 1.1 TB + 1.9 TB resulting in Camera data on target of 3.1 TB. 
     
    Note: 

    - The Immediate Tier term above can be considered the remote extended storage. 
     
    - The Local Retention period in this instance is set to 2 days. 

    - The Immediate Tier Move recording options can be set to move on; 

     	- Time based, such as 8 hrs  

     	- Percentage based, for this instance is set to 25%.

    These options can be used to tailor the storage ratios to meet specific requirements.
