To edit the server configuration:
- Establish a CLI session on the Bare Metal Orchestrator VM and log in. For high availability configurations, establish a CLI session using the virtual IP (VIP) of the Load Balancers for the Bare Metal Orchestrator cluster.
- Edit the <server-id>.yaml file with Vim or a similar editor.
For example:
vim dell_server_new.yaml
- Update the attribute values based on the configurations you want to perform. For more information about the server configurations, see Managing server configurations.
For an example snapshot of the consolidated <server>.yaml file updated with attributes for all configurations, see Sample server YAML file.
- Save the file and quit the editor.
- Edit the server.
- If the server is associated with a tenant, run:
bmo edit server <server-name> -n <tenantname>
- If the server is not associated with a tenant, run:
bmo edit server -f <server-id>.yaml
