On Azure Stack HCI operating system servers there is the capability for GPU partitioning which can be leveraged for different workloads such as artificial intelligence. Dell Technologies strongly recommends using Windows Admin Center for GPU partitioning to avoid mistakes and for a streamlined visual experience.
For the latest supported GPU-P, see the Azure Stack HCI Support Matrix. For a list of which GPU are supported for GPU-P on Azure Stack HCI, see Supported GPUs.
Dell servers do not come with a GPU partitioning driver. The driver required for GPU-P requires separate licensing from NVIDIA. For more information about licensing options and benefits of GPU-P, see: Virtual GPU (vGPU). There is a host driver for GPUs partitioning and there is also a guest (VM) driver for GPU partitioning, without both drivers and the correct license activated GPU partitioning will not work.
