Add a PAL through the Azure portal by using Azure PowerShell

Dell Technologies recommends that you use the Azure portal and PowerShell with the Service Principal user ID to register the Partner Admin Link (PAL).

Before you begin, install the Microsoft Azure CLI extension to your local system where you run the registration. Run the following command:

C:\ az extension add --name managementpartner

To add a PAL to a customer account, do the following:

To log in to the customer tenant, in Azure CLI, run the following command:

az login --service-principal -u <app-id> -p <password-or-cert> --tenant <tenant>

To link the Dell Partner ID, run the following command and add the partner ID from the list in Dell Technologies Partner IDs for Partner Admin Link.
Example: C:\ az managementpartner create --partner-id 913990

C:\ az managementpartner create --partner-id <Partner ID>
```
The following figure shows an example of a completed registration in Azure CLI.

Alternatively, you can verify the registration, either using the following CLI command or in the Azure portal. This command displays a similar output to the managementpartner create command used in the previous step.
```
C:\ az managementpartner show
```
Note: If there is an error when you add the Dell Partner ID, use the following command to correct the registration:
```
C:\ az managementpartner update --partner-id <Partner ID>
```

The PAL is now registered.
