To prepare the test setup, perform the following steps:
- Build the correct CIQ Table for each interface for:
- EP, VLAN, MTU, VLAN Tagging, Link Speed, SRIOV, MAC, IPs/Subnet and GW
- Update correct BIOS Settings as per Addendum
- Install right OS and RT Kernel
- Update the OS Settings in the Grub (Cores Isolation, Huge-pages, power-saving mode)
- Install dependent packages and set the pre-requisite services (Tuned, ptp, phc2sys)
- Update E810 NIC Driver (Ice) for stable PTP service
- Update Dell Switch 5232 fronthaul interfaces for appropriate VLAN, Trunk, PTP, and MTU settings
- Deploy CaaS Layer components
- Build and install RAN Binaries and images
- Update Network Settings in OS to support control and user-plane
- The user-plane should use SRIOV and bind with the DPDK driver
- Configure a 5G Core Emulator
- Build UE Load Profile
- Deploy the RAN functions
- Validate the FH, MH, and BH connectivity through ping
- Bring up a Cell and attach a UE through Load Profile
- Run the Test Cycles for 5 through 10 minutes
- Capture the KPIs when the Test Cycle is stable
