The following are the prerequisites to install PowerScale CSI driver on RKE2 Kubernetes cluster.
Name | Description |
NFS Protocol Enabled | To support PowerScale CSI driver, NFS protocol should be enabled. Supported protocol for RKE2 Kubernetes cluster is NFSv4. |
Dedicated NFS Export for the CSI driver | To connect to the PowerScale cluster, the PowerScale CSI driver uses an NFS connection. If multiple Kubernetes clusters are connected to the same PowerScale cluster, an additional NFS export must be configured in the CSI driver configuration file to ensure proper connectivity. |
For PowerScale versions 9.2 and above, it is necessary to enable basic authentication for web-config. | To enable basic authentication for web-config, execute the following command in the command line: isi_gconfig -t web-config auth_basic=true |
