Dell EMC XC Family solutions consist of XC Series appliances and XC Core nodes, incorporating integrated Nutanix software with Dell EMC PowerEdge servers and Intel Xeon processors to offer one of the industry’s most versatile and scalable HCI platforms. With factory-installed Nutanix software and a choice of hypervisors, XC Family systems can be deployed quickly for all virtualized workloads to reduce management complexity and total cost of ownership. These systems provide a solution that combines storage, compute, networking, and virtualization using Dell EMC hardware (PowerEdge servers) and Nutanix software (AOS). With a focus on ease-of-use and the ability to rapidly deploy multiple virtualized workloads, the XC Family is the preferred platform of many large enterprises and midmarket customers alike. By combining the hardware resources from each server into a shared-everything model for simplified operations, improved agility, and greater flexibility, Dell Technologies and Nutanix together deliver simple, cost-effective solutions for enterprise workloads. For more information, see Dell EMC XC Family of Hyperconverged Systems.
This SAP-certified hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution uses XC Family Systems with Nutanix AOS in combination with the VMware ESXi hypervisor for SAP HANA deployments. The XC systems are hypervisor-agnostic, however, meaning that they support the customer’s choice of hypervisor.
Note: If you are deploying SAP HANA on Nutanix AOS using the Nutanix AHV hypervisor, see the SAP HANA on Dell EMC XC Appliances and XC Core Systems Best Practices Guide.
