Dell EMC XC Family hyperconverged solutions combine storage, compute, networking, and virtualization using Dell EMC PowerEdge servers, Nutanix software, and Intel Xeon processors. The XC Family solutions encompass XC Series appliances and XC Core nodes. These solutions offer one of the industry’s most versatile and scalable hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) platforms.
Because of its focus on ease-of-use and the ability to rapidly deploy multiple virtualized workloads, the XC Family is the preferred platform of many large enterprises and midmarket customers alike. By combining the hardware resources from each server into a shared-everything model for simplified operations, improved agility, and greater flexibility, Dell Technologies and Nutanix together deliver simple, cost-effective solutions for enterprise workloads. For more information, see Dell EMC XC Family of Hyperconverged Systems.
The SAP-certified HCI solution for SAP HANA deployments that this guide describes uses XC Family Systems with Nutanix Acropolis Operating System (AOS) with the Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV). Note, however, that XC systems are hypervisor-agnostic and support the customer’s choice of hypervisor.
If you are deploying SAP HANA on Nutanix AOS using the VMware ESXi hypervisor, see the SAP HANA Deployments on Dell EMC XC Family Systems Using Nutanix AOS and VMware vSphere Validation Guide.
