Home > Storage > PowerFlex > White Papers > Red Hat OpenShift 4.14 deployment on Dell PowerFlex > Configuring the network for the OpenShift nodes
With the OpenShift cluster deployed, this section describes the additional network configuration that is required on the OpenShift nodes to be able to connect to the PowerFlex cluster.
The network configuration of the OpenShift nodes, for example, adding or removing network interfaces is configured by applying a NodeNetworkConfigurationPolicy (NNCP) manifest to the cluster.
Note: The Kubernetes NMState Operator must be installed in the OpenShift cluster to use the NNCP manifest. For more information about NMState Operator and its installation, see Kubernetes NMState.
In this solution, the networks are configured as shown in the following table:
Table 3. OpenShift nodes network details
Network | VLAN ID | VLAN interface | Bond | NIC |
Ingress /API | 105 | bond0.105 | bond0 | en012399 |
ens3f0 | ||||
PowerFlex Management | 150 | bond1.150 | bond1 | en012409 |
PowerFlex Data 1 | 151 | bond1.151 | ens3f1
| |
PowerFlex Data 2 | 152 | bond1.152 |
The following steps describe the configuration of the above networks on the nodes. After every step, verify that the configuration is applied successfully and is in the Available state using the command oc get nncp.
For more information about configuring networks using NNCP, see Updating node network configuration.
