To validate the backup process, a MySQL application is deployed on the Red Hat OpenShift cluster with the namespace mysql.
The namespace consists of one mysql pod as shown in the following figure:

The following figure shows the protection job that has successfully completed for the mysql namespace:

The PowerProtect Data Manager supports the option to perform both manual and scheduled backups.
Note: Only full backup type is supported for Kubernetes protection with PowerFlex CSI.
