Steps to install the Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery software:
- From the vSphere Client in the Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery Vault, use the Deploy OVF Template wizard to deploy the PowerProtect Cyber Recovery virtual appliance file.
- When the Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery virtual appliance deployment is completed, open the vCenter console for the newly deployed appliance.
- Log in as the root user using the default password changeme.
- Run the following command to begin the installation.
# crsetup.sh –deploy
5. At the prompts, enter a unique passphrase or password for the Cyber Recovery Security Officer (crso), the Cyber Recovery lockbox, and MongoDB. The installation procedure starts Cyber Recovery services.
Note: Remember the lockbox passphrase. It is required to perform upgrades and reset the Security Officers password. If you forget the lockbox passphrase, you must reinstall the Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery software.
- Log out of the Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery software and then do the following:
- Use SSH to access the Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery virtual appliance as the admin user with the password changeme.
- Change the password.
- Use the su command to switch to root.
- Enter the root password changeme.
- At the prompt, change the password.
- Log out of the Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery software and then do the following:
- Use SSH to access the Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery virtual appliance as the admin user with the password changeme.
- Change the password.
- Use the su command to switch to root.
- Enter the root password changeme.
- At the prompt, change the password.
- Go to the URL shown at the end of the installation script. Then, log in to the Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery UI using the default Security Officer (crso) account and the password that you created.
