Home > Storage > PowerScale (Isilon) > Industry Solutions and Verticals > Media and Entertainment > PowerScale OneFS: macOS Client Performance and User Experience Optimization > Viewing com.apple.desktop.services
The defaults command can also be used to view the contents of com.apple.desktopservices to see if DSDontWriteNetworkStores has been configured.
defaults read com.apple.desktopservices
With a macOS client configured to not create .DS_Store files, the output will look like this output:
ladmins-iMac-Pro:~ ladmin$ defaults read com.apple.desktopservices
{
DSDontWriteNetworkStores = 1;
}
