The following figure shows the logical architecture of the solution:
A single PowerFlex protection domain and a single storage pool are configured in PowerFlex. The PowerFlex storage pool topology consists of four storage nodes with eight NVMe drives in each of the four storage nodes.
Once PowerFlex is set up, SDC is installed on the compute nodes. SDC enables the compute nodes to consume the storage volumes that are provisioned with the help of the PowerFlex manager.
After this, kdb+ and KDB.AI are installed on both the compute nodes. The installation of kdb+ and KDB.AI is detailed in the following section. Once the databases are installed, the AI workload testing is carried out with the help of KDB.AI. Also, to validate kdb+ performance on PowerFlex, a nano benchmark tool has been installed.
