OpenShift Container Platform cluster administrators can map storage to containers. For a list of supported PV plug-ins, see Types of PVs in the OpenShift Container Platform documentation.
This chapter describes how to use Dell Technologies CSI drivers to configure iSCSI and FC storage for PowerMax, PowerScale (formerly Isilon), PowerStore, and Unity XT storage units. The chapter addresses the following topics:
Note: Unless specified otherwise, run the following commands in the CSAH primary node.
To configure multipath across compute nodes:
[core@csah-pri multipathd]$ echo 'defaults {
user_friendly_names yes
find_multipaths yes
}
blacklist {
}' | base64 -w0
[core@csah-pri multipathd]$ oc create -f <machine config YAML>
Note: The preceding machine configuration applies only to compute nodes. After the machine configuration file is created, each compute node is rebooted one at a time after the configuration is applied.
The CSI operator for OpenShift is available in the operator hub. Install the operator before you install any of the CSI drivers for the installed storage system. Unless specified otherwise, perform all the steps in the CSAH primary node.
To install the CSI operator:
[core@csah-pri ~]$ oc create -f <yaml file>
[core@csah-pri ~]$ oc get pods -n dell-csi-operators
