OpenShift Container Platform cluster administrators can map storage to containers. For a list of supported Persistent Volume (PV) plug-ins, see Types of PVs.
Note: The Dell OpenShift engineering team validated the design for an OpenShift Container Platform deployment using Dell PowerMax, PowerScale, and PowerStore storage systems.
This section addresses the following topics:
To configure multipath across compute nodes:
[core@csah multipathd]$ echo 'defaults {
user_friendly_names yes
find_multipaths yes
}
blacklist {
}' | base64 -w0
[core@csah multipathd]$ oc create -f <machine config YAML>
Note: This machine configuration applies only to compute nodes. After the machine configuration file is created and applied, the compute nodes reboot one at a time.
The Dell CSM operator for OpenShift is available on the OpenShift embedded operator hub.
Note: Install the CSM operator before you install any of the CSI drivers for the installed storage system.
The Install Operator page opens, as shown in the following figure:
[core@csah ~]$ oc get pods -n openshift-operators
The following code snippet shows sample output from the command:
