OpenShift Container Platform cluster administrators can map storage to containers. For a list of supported Persistent Volume (PV) plug-ins, see Types of PVs in the OpenShift Container Platform documentation.
Note: The Dell OpenShift engineering team validated the solution using PowerMax, PowerScale, and PowerStore storage systems.
This section addresses the following topics:
To configure multipath across compute nodes:
[core@csah-pri multipathd]$ echo 'defaults {
user_friendly_names yes
find_multipaths yes
}
blacklist {
}' | base64 -w0
[core@csah-pri multipathd]$ oc create -f <machine config YAML>
Note: This machine configuration applies only to compute nodes. After the machine configuration file is created and applied, each compute node reboots one at a time.
The CSM operator for OpenShift is available on the Red Hat OpenShift embedded operator hub.
Note: Install the Dell CSM Operator before you install any of the CSI drivers for the installed storage system.
[core@csah-pri ~]$ oc get pods -n openshift-operators
The following is sample output from the command:
