The following table provides definitions for some of the terms that are used in this document.

S3 | The S3 protocol, or Simple Storage Service protocol, is a data storage system that provides a simple and scalable solution for storing and retrieving data in the cloud. |
Buckets | Buckets are object containers that are used to control access to objects. |
EC | Erasure Coding |
DC | A domain controller, or DC, is a server used in a Windows-based network that manages user authentication and authorization for accessing network resources. |
DNS | Domain Name System is a service provided by Microsoft Windows server operating systems that enables domain name resolution on a local network. |
CSI | Container Storage Interface (CSI) was developed as a standard for exposing arbitrary block and file storage systems to containerized workloads on Kubernetes. |

TPC | Transaction Processing Performance Council. |
ETL | Extract, Transform and, Load is a process of combining data from multiple sources into a large, central repository like Data Warehouse. |
T-SQL | Transact Structure Query Language (SQL Language which is used to interact with relational databases) |

Pod | Pod is the smallest unit of a Kubernetes application and is a collection of one or more Linux containers. |
