To validate the results, we used the TPC-DS Decision Support Benchmark, which is widely recognized as an industry standard. This benchmark standard is designed to model various relevant aspects of a decision support system, such as data maintenance and queries. The benchmark offers a comprehensive assessment of performance as a versatile decision support system. It encompasses the measurement of query response time in a single user environment, query throughput in a multiuser environment, and data maintenance performance. These measurements are conducted under controlled conditions, involving a complex, multi-user decision support workload. The benchmark is designed to evaluate the performance of a specific hardware, operating system, and data processing system configuration.

We can generate the TPC-DS dataset by using the dsdgen.exe cli tool provided by TPC.org. Figure 27 shows an example of a sample datafile.
Once the datafiles were generated for all tables, they were transferred to the ObjectScale bucket. The aws cli tool was used for file copying process following
