SQL Server 2022 is the latest release of Microsoft’s relational database engine. This design guide describes the deployment of Red Hat OpenShift Cluster with self-service deployment of SQL Server 2022 as pods for data analytics purposes. This guide also features some of the newly introduced features of SQL Server 2022, including PolyBase S3 compatibility, which enables querying of external datasets stored in object storage, such as Dell ObjectScale.
Data analytics is the process of examining raw, structured, and unstructured data to determine trends and answer queries. Organizations use data analytics to make informed decisions about their business.
Data analytic workloads can be CPU intensive and choosing the optimal CPUs for the data analytic servers can be challenging. There are three common CPU specifications that should be examined while choosing a CPU:
Data virtualization solutions can easily access disparate data repositories and enable organizations to quickly integrate with new data sources as they become available across the edge, core, and cloud locations. Data virtualization allows enterprises to seek flexible and cost-effective storage options for structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data.
