The ObjectStore is a conceptual framework that has been implemented in ObjectScale to offer distinct data services to each object store within the ObjectScale. An instance of ObjectScale can accommodate multiple object stores. These stores can be created, updated, and deleted independently from all other objects that are managed by ObjectScale.
While implementing object stores in ObjectScale, it is important to follow the specific naming convention guidelines for the creation of object stores and group labels.
For detailed instructions to create a new object store, see the steps outlined in the Create object store.
To enable users within an IAM account for managing various aspects of an object store, it is imperative to associate the IAM account with the object store. Once this association has been established, IAM accounts that are linked to the object store can create new buckets within the store. Additionally, specific compliance settings and retention policies can be configured to meet the wanted requirements.
Buckets are object containers that are used to control access to the objects. For more information, see the Create a bucket page.
